When was the last time that you had a little “me time”?
I know, you’re busy. You may have kids to take care of. You may have a job that consume a lot of your time.
Maybe you even have both.
We tend to get so absorbed in our daily tasks and duties, that we often forget to be kind with ourselves. But how unfair is it that we give so much love, kindness and compassion to others, but we’re always too busy to give ourselves the same?
Here is a list of 8 simple ways to practice self care, because you deserve to take care of yourself as much as anybody else!
Read A Book
Reading a book is a good way to relax and take care of yourself; it doesn’t require anything but you and a good book. So get comfy, put some relaxing music on, make some tea, and forget about anything else!
In this world of social media, texts and internet, unplugging once in a while can only do you good. Turn off your phone and laptop for an entire day (or more) and enjoy some family time or go somewhere surrounded by nature. This will you to empty you mind from anything negative and will be regenerating for your mind and body!
Make a home spa
You don’t need to spend tons of money to practice self care; your bathroom and a few products you like will be just perfect. So apply a mask on your face and hair, are a bubble bath with a glass of wine and some relaxing music.
Make your room super cozy
The environment we live in influences our mood so much! Making your room super cozy is important for you to feel good and relaxed. Plus, decoration is an amazing hobby, and you might discover a new passion!

Practicing self care also means caring about what you feed your body with. Eating healthy will make you feel lighter and more energized. Love your body so much that you only want to give it what’s best for it. You will feel the difference!
Even if you are the less sporty person on the planet, there IS an activity that’s right for you. Whether it is walking, horse-riding, or swimming, find what’s best for you and make you body sweat a little.
Have coffee (Or a Margarita, whatever) with a friend
There is no better therapy than having coffee with a friend. Spending a couple of hours laughing, talking (and gossiping) is all you need to feel good sometimes. So call a friend and hangout together!
If you’re a creative person, then getting creating might be the best “me-time” you could have. Try a new DIY, revamp an old furniture, or start a new drawing!
