Everybody have bad days sometimes, and it’s okay. I would even say that it is a good thing in the end because without the bad days, we wouldn’t appreciate the good ones. However, no need to make those bad days worse than what they have to be. There are a few things that I like doing in my bad days, to make me feel better. It doesn’t mean that it works for everyone, but it seemed important to me to share it with you.
1. Don’t stay alone.
Being around the people who you love and who make you feel good really helps. Invite a friend over, or meet them somewhere! If you live far from your friends and family, then call them.
2. Take care of yourself.
Take a bubble bath, apply a mask for your skin, polish your nails, … Whatever makes you feel good. Taking time for yourself will make you feel more relaxed and free your mind from whatever makes you feel bad.
3. Don’t stay were you don’t feel good.
Take a walk if you can. Go somewhere pretty. I personally walk everyday -with my headphones on-, but it’s especially important for me to do it in the bad days; even if it’s just for 20 minutes sometimes. It clears my mind from everything that bothers me and I’m always in a better mood after my walk.
4. Do something you like.
The best way to forget about what makes you feel bad is to focus on something else! I know, it’s easier to say than to do. But it actually works. It could be reading, doing something creative, gardening, … For be it’s blogging; whenever I don’t feel good I turn my laptop on and I start writing a new post (or I finish and old one).
